I visited Rustic Oaks again today to see the improvements and to discuss where I’ll be setting up. They have made considerable progress on remodeling the barn for the reception area and the dance floor. It really looks great.
Black Tie Photobooth will be set up at Rustic Oaks on Wednesday, July 7th from 3 pm to 7 pm for their Open House so come out and tour the facility and stop by the photo booth for a little photo fun.

What a wonderful wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn. I loved the “Lucky In Love” theme you had for your wedding (I was tempted to take a few poker chips but there is no place around here to cash them in, ah well.
) and I was so very happy I was able to create the custom designed border for the photo strips for you. I would like to Thank You for the review and I am pleased we were able to provide this service for you and your guests.
Here are a few photos from the reception.

On Saturday, June 5th I had a little bit of a drive to the wonderful Alonzo Ward Hotel in Aberdeen South Dakota for Jessi and Corey’s wedding reception. I remembered to take a couple of photos of this beautiful old hotel right on Main Street, but sadly I didn’t take any of the ballroom where the reception was held. I was running a little late that day so after I set the booth up I had about an hour and a half to change and find something to eat, fortunately I didn’t have to go any farther than the bar and grill on the first floor. While I was setting up I spoke to one of the bartenders that was going to be working that evening about what was good to eat and he recommended the scallops. OK, great, I like having really good seafood from time to time however the first thing that caught my eye on the specials menu was the buffalo burger. The decision was made right then and there since the Ward gets the meat from a processor in a town not too far from Aberdeen. All I can say is that was one of the best buffalo burgers I have ever had.
Anyway, here are a couple of photos of the hotel, one of the outside and one of the fabulous lobby and a photo strip from the reception.

On May 30th I had the pleasure of setting up for the WFHS post graduation party at the school. Everyone seemed to have a great time in the booth as well as playing all of the other games that you had at your event. I really appreciate the patience everyone had when the line for the booth reached to over 15 people numerous times, yes I was busy, but I did count. You guys were great!!!
I’m not sure who will get it or what was done with the Memory Book after the event but I really hope my suggestion of bringing it out at your 10 year reunion won out.
I’ve been a little slow with keeping this updated so I’ll start with last weekend. On May 29th I had a very nice drive up to Grand Forks for Kelly and Tyler’s wedding reception at the Masonic Lodge in lovely downtown Grand Forks. My only complaint, it was HOT!! 95 degrees that day with really high humidity, ouch.
Here’s a shot of the whole bridal party in the booth.

Congrats to the bride and groom!! They are in that photo somewhere.
Well, after having spent quite the time adding all of the Save The Date information to the website and to my blog I just found out that when I placed the link on the blog to that page on the website I didn’t enter the link info properly.
I discovered this because I put a little update on the Contact Us page. I added a form you can fill out to send me information on checking availability for your event. Saves you a little time, all you do is enter all your info in and the date you are wondering about and I will automatically receive an email. You can now check on a date without having to open your email program.
The link from this page is now fixed.
I’m still confused as to why the logo at the top of the page is off center in Internet Explorer, it is just fine when you use FireFox. Oh well, I’ll mess with that another day.
I’m starting to get the equipment packed up today for the Fertile-Beltrami High School Post Prom on Saturday. The custom design for the photo strips is all ready to go, the props are packed and the curtains are pressed (too bad they get a little wrinkled during transporting). I can’t even begin to tell the students how much fun they are going to have.
Danielle contacted me a few weeks ago about having a Save The Date session. We each sent a few emails back and forth and after I explained everything and answered all of her questions a date was decided upon for her and her fiance to come in and have a private photo booth session. I had emailed Daneille a few samples of the availabile templates but she really wanted something “fallish”. Even though I had few weeks to come up with something special I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to design what she wanted. She wanted something with leaves and birch trees, it took me awhile but I finally came up with a really nice fall design.
The day finally arrived and Danille and Lance had quite a bit of fun taking photos for their Save The Date photo strips. After trying out numerous poses and proofing the photos they decided on the one below. I think it’s safe to say that they had a lot of fun. I helped them out with a few ideas for poses and I think the photos turned out really well. I’m looking forward to providing the photobooth for their wedding reception and I know their family and friends will have a blast in the booth.

I’ll see you two again in October!!
